RCMA Lake Trafford Campus

Six-Building Community Campus with Full Site Development

This project involved the turnkey construction of 60,000 square feet across six new buildings:
1. Child Care Building 1
2. Child Care Building 2
3. Kitchen Building
4. Butterfly Building
5. Office Building
6. Community HUB Building
The work also encompassed extensive site development on a 50-acre parcel, including erosion control, clearing and grubbing, saw cutting, demolition, concrete and asphalt paving, excavation of three lakes, building pad preparation and compaction, rough grading, storm drainage, sanitary sewer, domestic waterlines, fire protection lines, and underground electrical and gas distribution.
The project featured a complex structural design with concrete block walls, exposed concrete columns and beams, and cast-in-place curved roof decks built with a challenging double radius—one at 50 feet and another at 25 feet. To ensure quality, DEC Contracting worked closely with the architect and structural engineer, holding on-site coordination meetings no less than once per week during construction of the shell superstructure. A comprehensive Superstructure Quality Control Plan was implemented, resulting in the superstructure being completed with zero deficiencies, a milestone for which DEC Contracting and its shell subcontractor received significant recognition.
Because the owner is a non-profit organization exempt from sales tax, DEC Contracting Group implemented a Direct Material Purchase Program, generating documented savings of $307,266.00 for the owner.
