New Multi-Family Housing in Immokalee

This project involved the turnkey construction of a new 28,000-square-foot farm worker housing complex consisting of 24 apartment units. The scope of work included concrete block and cast-in-place concrete construction, carpentry, a TPO roofing system with insulation, exterior windows and doors, interior doors with hardware, metal-framed interior walls, drywall, painting, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems.

One of the most significant challenges of the project was meeting the geotechnical requirements. Testing determined that 12 feet of unsuitable clay soil beneath the building footprint had to be removed and replaced with clean, compacted fill to ensure long-term structural stability. DEC Contracting successfully executed this complex operation, coordinating closely with geotechnical engineers to achieve the required compaction and foundation conditions.

The project was delivered as a fully functional residential facility, providing safe, durable, and modern housing accommodations for the farm worker community.
